Everything I do is for Mother Russia.
I was looking through my iGoogle and of course my Digg gadget was up. I saw this article at the top “6 Groups Who Don’t Word as Movie Bad Guys Anymore“. An interesting post, the number one group that people CAN’T use anymore would be Russia.
My first thoughts were “Woah, Woah. Why can’t we use Russia anymore?” I understand that a lot of people are over it, but I most certainly am not. I think Russia is still a hilarious wonderful villan. I’m not racist against Russians, I’ve had Russian friends who were amazing. Doesn’t change the fact that the Cold War is still going on in my head.
And by that I mean that I still would like to watch and be in the News of Russia being communists. I could move on to China or North Korea, but they just aren’t as fun as Russia. In my opinion, bad guys fighting the Chinese is boring.
I guess this is why Indiana Jones is still my boyfriend. First off, Harrison Ford is freaking amazing. But they still used Russian bad guys in their recent movie, and by recent I mean within the last 5 years. I realize that the main villan was Ukrainian, but they were still KGB. Plus the whole mind warfare was a trippy thought and aliens are always a win in my book.
The point is, when I choose an antagonist, I want a huge freaking country with communist/terroristical ties. Not some rich guy on Wall Street, they aren’t immortal..
